Ayesha Arend

Ayesha holds an LLB from the University of the Western Cape. She is a partner at Gillespie & Associates and serves as an Executive Member of the Cape Town Attorneys Association, where she plays an active role in supporting and strengthening the legal profession.

She leads the firm’s Debt Recoveries Department, assisting both individuals, businesses, body corporates and homeowner associations in navigating complex financial and legal challenges. Whether recovering outstanding debts, enforcing court orders, advising on legal strategy or acting as a correspondent attorney, Ayesha and her team work with transparency, efficiency and a deep understanding of the legal process. Her proficiency further extends to insolvency and property law, with particular focus on liquidations, sequestrations, evictions and executing against immovable property.

Ayesha is driven by a passion for the law and for resolving disputes effectively. Outside of the office, she finds balance in spending time with her family and loved ones, who remain at the heart of her purpose.
